My weekend was delightful…and yours?

After a few weekends in a row that were pretty, um, not awesome, I was a little nervous that everything I’d put into this weekend would make it implode as maybe too busy weekends often do. I found that As each event unfolded without much of a hitch I started to breath just a little bit easier.

In even more Court than true Court fashion, I had crammed the following into this past weekend:

  • {Friday} Frank’s b’day pizza (He had cheeseburger, it comes with french fries on it.), hanging out and being seriously disappointed that Almost Royal wasn’t on OnDemand anymore. I also did some not fun stuff like cleaning up the guest room in case any one needed to stay over.
  • {Saturday} Up and at em! 7:30am-12:30pm at the pool, ladies lunch and panting party (SUPER FUN LADIES), home, Advil, hung out with Frank and Daddy-O to hear about Gluten Glutton day, made some cupcakes, did some crocheting while watching the Bones season premier again and some Murder She Wrote.
  • {Sunday} Drank coffee, skipped yoga, frosted cupcakes, participated in the Buddy Walk, had a delightful day with old friends, smooshed some babies, and took a nap. I also watched Blacklist so I can be ready for today. It wasn’t as scary as it could have been.

I knew it was too much, but sometimes I just have to do it. It was a wonderful weekend with lots of smiles. See? Lots to smile about!

Frank’s b’day note.
He is my favorite. I didn’t draw this. Google had it.
I added the text though.

My painting. I don’t love it
But I will before it’s done…
It needs something…glitter?

Team Harlow treat!

Little lady of the day.
She’s one happy little duck.

Daddy-O in his natural element.

Cousins sharing a pickle!
They loved it.

And how about some random comments from this weekend that I might have said to myself out loud:

  • I’m really annoyed that the local strip club closed off their parking lot from the pizza place. Traffic over here is a nightmare.
  • Whoops! That frosting doesn’t look pretty. Oh well, sprinkles will fix that right up.
  • Is 5 dozen cupcakes enough to bring to the walk for our team? I hope so…
  • If the Dexes are coming to install the gas line and stove this coming weekend I wonder how many pounds of burger we’ll need to get.
  • How many times do I have to tell Pandora that I do not like John Mayer?

That’s about it. How was yours? I think my best part was seeing my extended families and meeting their babies. And the cupcakes were pretty good too…

About Court

I spend a lot of time on the pool deck and making treats in my kitchen amongst other things.
