This morning, after picking my keys up from Frank’s office, I realized that outside of some work projects, I have no pressing matters at the moment. Dare I say it feels like life is calm right now? (Universe, that’s not an invitation to throw me a curve ball!)
For the last couple of weeks, we’ve been running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to get everything done. We would have prep work to do at the house and finishing work to do at the apartment – often having lists to do at both in the same day.
Well, Friday night we finished cleaning out the apartment. I’ll turn the keys over to the handyman sometime today and that will be that.
Last night around 8:30pm we finished round one of sweeping saw dust up and could finally relax a little. Frank tuned into Cosmos and I took a shower and climbed in bed to watch some Netflix.
There’s so much to do at the house to get settled in – cleaning(!), bringing our belongings into the house itself, figuring out furniture and storage, getting everything settled…but we don’t have any deadlines looming over our heads right now and can do the rest at our own pace.
Which today? Feels pretty slow. We’ll see how I feel about it when I get home again.
