The last few weeks have been wrap ups and season finales for all my favorite shows. (If you’re new around here or otherwise not in the know, that would be Bones, The Blacklist, NCIS, Criminal Minds, and Elementary. That’s in schedule order.) Last night’s Bones (holy hell of an episode!) ends it for my usual television watching until fall.
There are a few things I’ll catch here and there (Motive and a few from USA) but none of it’s “must see” for me like Bones and Criminal Minds (also an excellent way to end the season)
I don’t want to ruin either of them for anyone, but they were both fantastically done with a whole lot of “Oh Shit!” moments. My other shows didn’t really wow me on the finales. Maybe I have to watch them again, I’ve been a bit distracted.
But with my favorite shows done for the summer, this means one of two things: 1. I have to find other TV to watch or more likely 2. I’ll have more time to craft (once I get set up) and read. (I’m currently reading The Good Fairies of New York by Martin Millar which is a book from NotSoSweetPea eons ago but I’m only now able to get into it. More on that when I finish it.) I just finished re-reading Honest Illusions by Nora Roberts. I’ll recap that one tomorrow if you’re not familiar with it.
Okay a viable third option for gloomy days, Netflix. A girl can only work on house things for so many hours a day before she needs to unwind. Yes, I just said that. Besides, I keep adding things to my list to watch!
I know that a lot of people don’t watch TV during the summer so the prime time shows take a break, but I’m going to miss my friends. I look forward to their return in the fall!
Will you be watching summer shows or are you taking a break?
