So we’re back. It was fun but we we were ready to come back I think…plus I was out of vacation so I sort of had to…or find a job down there which I don’t think I’d like too much.
I sometimes think I’d very much like to live down there, but really it would drive me nuts. I seem to have a sense of urgency and “get things done” that isn’t shared in that part of the country. (I’m not saying their way is bad, I’m saying that it’s not for me. It’s also why I didn’t move to ‘Bama when my bro was there the first time. My how life would be different if I had!)
It was delightful seeing our family, immediate and extended. We didn’t do much other than try to relax, eat, spend time with family and friends, and read a couple of books. We went to Kennedy Space Center, up to see Frank’s mom, to the flea market, to the beach, and to an old sugar plantation and botanical garden. It was a really nice break from reality, apt/house/mortgage stuff, and you know, snow.
It was really sad to come back and see the grey/hail, but I’ll get over it. I hope Frank will. 😉 Apparently it was really nice to run on the beach and not the ice.
Isn’t it the first day of spring? I clearly remember requesting that it be nicer when we get back from vacation! Apparently +5*F is nice enough-er.
I have a few photos to share today. I didn’t get some of everyone and I won’t share all that I did, don’t worry!
So we’re back. I’ll get back to my sort of regular posting schedule now that we are. Back to reality.
