Oh gosh. Hello! How are you? Thanks for joining me today. I have so much fun to tell you that I don’t even know where to start. First off, let me give a big shout out to Annie! (Hi Annie!) Annie saw me last night at the Alton Brown show and stopped to say hello. It was super awesome. (Thank you for your kind words, Annie. It’s awesome to hear that you enjoy this space and was such fun meeting you.)
There’s so much I want to tell you about the Alton Brown show! It was amazing. They played music, made food, talked about food and had burping yeast videos. I’ll recap it next week for you while it keeps soaking in. Just keep in mind that chickens don’t have fingers and trout doesn’t go in ice cream, hmmkay?
I’d also like to thank Mother Nature for the break in snow while we were there so the roads were clear on the way back. Just thanks.
Can I tell you that we got a crap ton of snow in that storm that just came through? I know it’s February, I live in Upstate NY and should expect snow, but when I left my car last night there was no snow on it. When I came down to clear it off, there was this much:
Driving to work wasn’t too bad today once I was on the main roads, but let me tell you that getting out of my neighborhood was like navigating a snow maze. I’m just thankful I didn’t get stuck trying!
So much snow. I’d really rather be in my crafting room watching it from above! And being warm and dry.
I would also tell you that while I was at the craft store this morning I realized that I feel like I’m back to myself. My mostly happy, bubbly, laid back self. I don’t know if this or the fact that I’m wearing pants I couldn’t wear a week and a half ago is more exciting. Not that I’m wishing to tempt karma or life to change it, but today is good. I am thankful for being me and life being pretty darn good today.
Anyway! I’m not totally a Valentines Day kind of girl, but my wishes for you today:
We’ll celebrate Talentods Day after I get back from vacation.
Any big plans today or this weekend? Anything super fun to share? If you want to have another cup of coffee, swing over to Alissa’s!
