Oh gosh, it’s really nice to see you today! I feel like it’s been forever! Let’s grab something to drink and get chatting. What are you having today? I think I’ll have the Kahlua Coffee with hot chocolate mixed in. Nothing to eat for me, I brought a GF Ginger Peach muffin. Yes, they were well received by my office friends.)
How have you been? Did you have a nice Halloween? Typically I join D’Lovely for trick or treating but Em’s sick and I don’t feel awesome so I stayed home. I missed it. Bummer.
Let’s talk about something happy though. We’ll start with babies. September and October were certainly the months for babies to be born and announcing others on the way. Three of my very best friends in the whole world each welcomed a squishy little one. I’m so very excited to welcome them to my extended family. (I won’t use names, but I do have a couple of photos to share.) Please welcome Little Miss H and B-Squared!
Little Miss H
Don’t my friends make beautiful babies? I may be partial because their mommas are two of my oldest best good friends, but I give them thumbs up. Little Miss H actually joined us in the middle of September, but it’s taken me this long to get my butt in gear, ask her momma if it’s okay to post about her and write the post. I haven’t met her yet, but I’m in love.
My friend MAR and his lovely wife welcomed a son while I was out of town and the best work roomie ever welcomed her husband’s first grand daughter. Every time I see another picture of any of them, my heart about bursts.
Babies babies everywhere! There are too many expected arrivals to mention, let’s just say that spring time will be busy! So excited for everyone.
So what’s new in your world?
I’m happy to report that I’m starting to settle in after my almost week away and that I’m getting back to my usual groove and making my Doing Things Differently changes gradually. No need to sabotage myself, right?
I’m also pleased to report that we’re looking at about 60 days til my brother comes home (give or take, the Army hates giving actual dates) This makes me happy. Knock on wood, there won’t be any incidents!
Also, I booked our vacation! It’s not til March, but it’ll be something to look forward to in the dead of winter when I just want to be a little warmer. I don’t mind winter at all, I mind frigid temps. If it’s too cold to snow, it’s too cold for me! I’m doubly excited because my G-d family will be joining us! Such fun.
Other than that, I’m looking forward to this weekend with minimal plans. This girl needs some down time.
What good news do you have to share? What are you looking forward to? I do have to run because I’m out of coffee, but I’d love to know!
