Busy busy like a beeeeeee

20131020_102843I managed to survive my weekend and even procure coffee for myself while Frank was gone. I know. I’m patting myself on my back for that one, too.

Friday night’s Pinterest and Pizza was super fun with my girls. Kathy took over making the pizza and MsBix and Sue took care of putting the salad together. I regret to inform you that I took no photos all night. Perhaps Albany Jane will share hers? Let’s just say the mini turkey pepperonis were delightful and the spicy wine glazed mushrooms were a fantastic addition to the white pizza (which turned out to be more of a casserole, but you know what? It was fricken awesome. Even Daddy-O tried it and LOVED it.)

As for the craft, I ended up picking up glass/porcelain pens to give us the greatest chance of success and there were some excellent designs going on.

I’ll see if I can get the ladies to send me photos.

Saturday was the last day of pool time for a couple of weeks and it went fairly well. It can be a crap shoot if parents are going to take the news well that their kid isn’t going to the next level. Like it’s a personal attack on their parenting that Little Johnny isn’t moving up. These things take time. Sometimes more than one year. After a little shopping for some work clothes for this week that didn’t leave me in tears (which I call a win) I headed home for a nap and promptly had this crazy dream. I thought shoe shopping would make me feel better after that so I headed off to Marshalls.

No shoes for me, but tights and a sweater made it a worthwhile trip.1377981_10100928171798232_370786438_n

Sunday took me to Em’s birthday party at Center Square School where she was an adorable kitty princess, had crafts and play time and cake!

The owner is super talented, great with the kids, and we all had a great time. If you’re local and have a budding artist, you should check it out.

After the princess kitty party was done, I headed up to Daddy-O’s lady friend’s for lunch and to help unpack from her recent move. It was already done by the time I got there, but I still got lunch. After lunch, we trekked back to my place to pick up some kitchen stuff that I was going to get rid of anyway. Now it has a new home.

After that I had a chance to relax but apparently I don’t know the meaning of the word because I worked on a pattern test and some graphic work for BatGirl and Sue’s Halloween costumes.

jeffersonian idbadge apdIsn’t BatGirl’s id badge super fun? She’s going as Bones!I just had to make this for her so she could complete the ensemble.

Bonus points to people who know what the number is…It looked familiar to me, but I had to ask for sure.

You know, I was all awake and refreshed, but I’m tired just typing that all out! I think being away for work will be a good break for me. [Wink]

Which reminds me, if you haven’t sent your post in… Tuesday is it.

  1. Sue says:

Well that badge is awesome! But I don’t know the number. No bonus for me.
