Coffee Date 10

coffee10Hey there! So nice of you to join us today. No, I wasn’t sure Friday was actually going to arrive either! I’m sorry I didn’t make it to coffee last week, I had some things to take care of and get off my chest.

So what’s new in your world? How was your week? I was a little disappointed that one of my private swim lessons is over already because she’s a fun kid and the cash was nice, but my other one was great this week. All three swam with me and it wasn’t freezing like last week!

Do you have thoughts on Ben Affleck being Batman? No, that’s okay neither do I. I won’t likely go to see it. I might catch it on TBS or USA on a Sunday afternoon because I do have a secret soft spot for Batman, X-Men etc. I know that many wouldn’t guess that to be true, but it is.

What’s your secret soft spot for movies? How about the movie you absolutely love that no one would guess? Mine might have to be League of Extraordinary Gentleman. I know that people don’t think it’s a great movie, but I love it.

Unrelated, but I assume by now you’ve seen the photos from last night’s run. Go ahead and look if you haven’t. Why am I torturing myself again? Well, I’m running in this event for the Wounded Warriors Project because my brother asked me to and it’s good for the size of my butt.

Another worthwhile project out there? My friend Sue’s Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region, Inc fundraising campaign. You can read about her volunteering, time with her Little Sister, and some more about the program here.

I’m sorry to say that I have to go for now, I’m out of Kahlua coffee and should get a move on. I hope to see you next week!

  1. Sue says:

Thank you for the shout out, and for your donation! 🙂

I love League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Also a comic book movie (well, technically a graphic novel, I think).

I’m not convinced Affleck can pull off Batman. Depends on how the director pulls it together.

  2. Why hello!

League of extraordinary gentlemen is a GREAT BAD MOVIE! We have a habit of actually BUYING the good BAD movies! They’re awesome!

Affleck… meh, we’ll see… I’ll wait for it to hit HBO or something… Still haven’t seen the LAST batman movie… I think they’ve done WAY too many of them. And, my favorite is still Michael Keaton. Just saying.

However, I want to note, NO ONE thought Heath Ledger could pull off the joker… SO… I’m not going to dog Affleck, just because he was an AWFUL DareDevil…
