It’s not a secret that sometimes I struggle finding my happy or the anxiety gets the best of me, but I fight like hell to keep my zest. I haven’t been having a hard of a time as some lately, but Life has been an effort.
It’s funny how weekends away from life rejuvenate you. I don’t know about you, but a little time away and laughs with a good friend brought me back ready to go. I’m feeling energized about my todo list and ready to attack life.
Sure it might change. Sometimes life brings me down or something makes my heart and soul heavy but then BAM! Something always brings me back to the place where I’m ready to go. I’ve worked long and hard to find coping mechanisms to get back to happy as soon as I can.
What works for me? It’s generally a break or something fun, sometimes it’s as little as a dance party in my office or making a new skirt. What can I say? As much fun as that Guy I Like is most days, sometimes life is DULL or I’m really down and I have to spice it up. (In the photo above, I was spinning in my office and dancing to T-Swizz’s Trouble. It made me smile.)
So yea, weekends away, laughs with friends, spinning or dancing or seeing a project I’ve done with my hands bring smiles to others. That’s a big portion of what helps me. What do you do to spice up life and get your joie de vivre back?
