Monday purple blues

I’m struggling a little right now and have a feeling this week might be a little rough.  As we drove back home yesterday, it dawned on me that it was this same trip last year that Daddy-O called to let me know that Mehmere wasn’t physically with us anymore. That it’s been a whole year now and although I know she’s often with me, I haven’t had a sign in awhile and I miss her so very dearly. (I even looked for purple flowers at the grocery store last night and all they had were some sad looking tulips that made my heart a little more sad.)

There’s more, like, Momma admitted that Nanny isn’t doing well and that terrifies me, MJ is going to Afganistan next month, finding a new place that Frank and I can agree on, I desperately want to leave the pool on Saturdays permanently, but can I afford to do it?

I know these are just life stressors that everyone faces (or worse). It’s just hitting me really hard right now…normally I can deal, today is just really hard.

In honor of Mehmere’s life, tomorrow I’ll be bringing you her super easy brownie recipe as a 4×6 recipe art that you can download and hang on your fridge if you’d like. It’s the kind you can put anything tasty in or is delicious on it’s own. We preferred to make it bold and sassy.

Hope you have a good Monday. I’m going to work on it.
