Thursday Three – Fantastic Moments from Christmas

Other than being ridiculously sick from Dec 23-26 this year, I had a lovely holiday. I’m incredibly spoiled, blessed, and lucky and I’m thankful for all of it. Nanny had a good Christmas Eve, the kids were well behaved and I’m pretty sure everyone was reasonable sober! Then we went to Daddy-O’s house for a later Christmas Eve dinner and evening. Coughing and hacking aside, it was really a very nice time.

While I received some lovely gifts this year (Thank you everyone!) there are some moments that will stick with me forever. I hope.

  1. My uncle and grandfather singing karaoke together. (Do Wah Diddy Diddy, if you’re wondering.) I think it’s posted on BakinginMyBathingSuit’s facebook page if you want to see it. It was taken with my cell so you’ll have to forgive me for the quality.
  2. Brody deciding that he likes me. If my brother wasn’t around, or was in the shower, I seemed to be Brody’s next favorite person. It might have been the treats I gave him, but I like to think he’s just a smart doggie and likes me anyway.
  3. Both of my parents being thrilled that I bought them vacuum cleaners this year. I don’t think it’ll ever work out that I’ll get off so easy again for their Christmas gifts, but man, it was easy this year!

There was another instance of my brother making up a poem, but I won’t share that here. I laughed until I couldn’t breathe.

How about your holiday weekend? Were you spoiled? Care to share good memories?
