A little worse for wear, a whole heck of a lot tired still, but I’m back. I’d like to first off thank my guest posters. Cassie, with her Me 2.0 post and BatGirl with her Red Lipstick post, you guys rock! Also, a big thank you to those who left such nice comments on what they wrote. You rock too.
I have a couple other guest posts that people ultimately asked me to hang on to for a few more weeks, but they’ll come out eventually. I think they want to put more distance between themselves and what they have shared. I’ll check back before I post those.
Convention was good and best I can tell, I rocked my presentations. We got awesome feed back and some fantastic discussion. Mostly it went well otherwise, it’s always stressful, making sure you’re in the right place at the right time, but it worked out. I got the chance to put faces to names and voices which is always fun and saw some of my favorite members while I was there. The only real snafu came in as we were trying to leave and the bus that was to pick us up went to the wrong city. Not sure why, but it did! I sat in the lobby with coworkers and drank the left over wine I had in my bag.
There’s a whole bunch I’d like to report on for convention, conversations I had with people, observations that I made and some other fun, but for now I’m still filtering it all and seeing what I really need to say. For now you can see my cartoon that the dude did of me.
In not convention related news, I have some new fun projects I can’t wait to share with you. Hats, scarves and hopefully a wreath too!
Unrelated to Convention, I would like to thank Sandy for leaving my friends alone here in Upstate NY for the most part but am thinking of friends in other parts of the state and near by that didn’t fare as well. Frank and I came through it just fine (knock on wood nothing happens after the fact) but we are thinking of those who didn’t fare as well. HUGS to you.
