But it’s a good kind of owie.
So last night I decided to try something new for my workout. Nothing sounded appealing and the last thing I wanted to do was to fight for pool space for a swim.
I tried it. I finished it!
Holy buggers, BatMan! The run part was easy til about half way through when I was taking it upon myself to try and increase my base speed on the treadmill. Hm. Not so good for the 30 second increase. I felt like the Road Runner and out of control. After I brought that back down again just a smidge, it was fine.
Let me say though, I never thought 60 seconds of something would leave me looking forward to getting back on the treadmill. I’m going to be totally honest and say that Mountain Climbers are the Devil, Burpees aren’t far behind them, and Lateral Hops make me think of cold air, making out in the locker room and Skittles.
If you’re curious about the workout itself, click over to check it out, but if you don’t want to or aren’t able to here’s the workout (photo from the original post):
I’m so doing this again, if only to prove to myself that it’s easier the second time. You going to give it a whirl?
***Note: As noted in the original post, the paces are suggestions. If you can’t go that fast yet, tone it down a little, if you’re looking at that and thinking, “Pshaw, chumps run slow!” then
bite me increase the pace to one that’s more your speed.***
