Last time with Quick and Yummy I brought you one of my favorites that also scores me points with the kids and is so incredibly easy to whip up.
This one is even easier and possibly even more delicious so I just had to share.
A little back story: I’ve always loved yogurt, yes, I have flavor preferences, but generally I like it all. A few years ago, I discovered Greek yogurt. It’s thick, creamy, low fat, high protein? SOLD.
While I’ve seen some naysayers, I generally reach for Chobani when shopping. There’s a few reasons, but namely they’re a company that’s based near where I grew up and that area needs all the economic stimulus it can get. (And it’s tasty.)
The store doesn’t always have it though so last time I was getting groceries, I picked up some Oikos Key Lime and stuck it in the fridge at work. I figured it couldn’t be that bad, they have John Stamos shilling for them. Wait, don’t answer that.
I’m having a bad case of “EAT ALL THE SNACKS” today and thought this might help. I’m a big fan of Key Lime in general and thought it would fill me up and attack the sweet tooth that is yelling to the emergency candy in my desk.
Boy did it help. It’s thick, creamy and tastes just like the custard from a key lime pie. My only regret is that I didn’t have any Teddy Grahams to drown in it first. Just thinking about the addition of some sort of graham cracker is making me want to duck out to the store for more.
Here’s what you need:
- Oikos Key Lime Yogurt
- Teddy Grahams
- A spoon
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Remove lid from container.
- Put Grahams in. Stir. Pretend the bears are drowning.
Someone please remind me to put more of this on the grocery list. (Achem Frank.) MUST GET MORE.
Oh and in case you’re wondering, I ate this first, before my soup and am so glad I did. Aunt Patty says to eat dessert first and this certainly fits that bill.
***Disclaimer: No one compensated me for this product placement. If they’d like to, I’m happy to eat the yogurt and write what I think. That is all.***
